National Hair Product Standardization

measures and launched more and more
standards, which means that the hair product
industry in China has standards and rules to
rely on.

Based on Evidence

The New Standards for the Electrostatic Properties
and Combustion Performance of Hair Products Have
Been Issued and Will Come Into Force on December 1.

Measure I: In 2012, the state issued the plans for two national standards. Under
the concerted efforts of the National Hair Product Standardization Technical
Committee, the standard for electrostatic properties and combustion performance
of hair products was officially released on May 12, 2017 and will come into force
on December 1, 2017. The two national standards are:

1. GB/T33730-2017 Assessment of the Electrostatic Properties of Hair Products
2. GB/T33731-2017 Assessment of the Combustion Performance of Hair
Products

These two national standards are the supporting basic method standard for
compulsory national standard formulated by the hair product industry, the basic
method standard and assessment standard for the major safety index of hair
products, the national uniform technical standard and the first general and
fundamental trial and test method standard of hair product industry.
